I don’t seek love outside the walls of my home,
Not from places or people from unknown,
I don’t seek it beyond the shades of its fortress,
For nothing can replace the shelter of its rest.
I don’t seek love outside the life of my child,
There are so much to fill and nothing to chide,
Every smile he share cures the burdens you feel.
Every little you give returns with great deals.
I don’t seek love within the fantasy of my thoughts,
Where to hug is possible but to hold is impossible,
No thoughts can devalue the presence of love,
No better gifts it can’t impossibly dislodge.
I don’t seek love within the ranks of the hateful,
From the mouths of the accursed and the minds of the scornful,
I don’t seek love from the lives of the traitors,
But from the souls of the pure and hearts of the faithful.
